Ginger Quinoa

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 Alvita Ginger Root tea bags
    • 1 cup quinoa, rinsed
    • 2 cups water
    • 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
    • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Directions
    • Boil the water, then pour into a glass bowl or pitcher. Add tea bags, cover and steep for 10 minutes.
    • While the tea steeps, heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add quinoa and fresh ginger. Stir frequently for 1-2 minutes until quinoa is lightly toasted.
    • Pour tea into the quinoa and ginger mixture. Add salt and bring to a roiling boil.
    • Reduce to a simmer and cover. Let cook for 15 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Add sesame seeds and enjoy!
